On March 2, 2026, the Montreal chapter of Alliance Ouvrière launched its spring campaign “Our Jobs, Our Services” against job cuts and disinvestment in public services.


This spring campaign puts to the test the strategy at the core of our organization: workers are called upon to turn their workplaces into operational bases from which the political struggle of their class can be launched.
We aim to root the political struggle for dignified public services and jobs in our everyday demands at work. In doing so, we are already fighting for a more democratic social organization—one through which we can exercise control over our own destiny by collaborating and deliberating with our colleagues. Under these conditions, we gain a constant and concrete motivation that sustains our struggle.
But this spring campaign also seeks to prepare our class for the struggles ahead. National debts weigh heavily. War destroys resources that will be sorely needed tomorrow. Opportunities for profit will diminish… Oligarchs and their governments are already conspiring against our families and us. It is time to bring disruption into the camp of those who have long thrived on it. Let us set the machinery of the working class
